LEVERAGE (1): THE MOST POWERFUL SECRET OF THE RICH AND THE GREAT

LEVERAGE (1):  THE MOST POWERFUL SECRET OF THE RICH AND THE GREAT

Have you ever thought how some people, who have the same one head like every other person, and just 24 hours at their disposal every day like every other human being, are able to produce so massive results in their chosen fields, or make so much money in their businesses or investments? They use leverage. Without mincing words, leverage is the best kept secret of the rich and the most successful people in the world.

By nature, we all have a certain limit we can go in terms of mental, emotional and physical energies. It is only God that is infinite. Every person is finite. But how finite human beings are able to accomplish so much in life, seemingly infinite results, sometimes at a young age, is that they first leverage their minds.

Leverage means the use of least efforts to accomplish maximum results; the ability to control a lot with little. In the world of science, lever is a simple machine that consists of a rigid bar that rotates about a fixed point, called the fulcrum or pivot. A lever makes work far easier by reducing the force needed to move a load. Leverage is one of the most powerful principles that differentiate the rich from the average.

Have you noticed the very close similarity between “average” and “leverage”? Leverage is certainly the principle or tool everyone who thinks that they are average must use for a definite change of level and story. In the words of Robert Kiyosaki, “Leverage is the reason some people become rich and others do not.”

In the image above, the miracle of the lever is in the fulcrum or pivot. As you can see, the fulcrum, as it were, multiplies the little effort exerted making it easier to move or lift big objects. Leverage magnifies your little and average efforts, turning you into a man or woman of massive results. Massive wealth answers to leverage more than anything else under the Sun.

The billionaires and millionaires in the world used leverage to move from average to stardom. But you don’t need to be a Bill Gates, a Mark Zuckerberg, or any other person who belongs to the club of the rich in the world, but with leverage you’ll gain financial freedom or stardom in your chosen field of human endeavour.

All successful people you see anywhere in the world, in whatever culture, whether those who amass great fortune, or others who have stood out in various fields, primarily leverage their minds to get those huge results. How do they do it? They open their minds to new principles, ideas, skills, perceptions, etc. If you want to produce noticeable results whether in wealth or business, you must have an open mind, particularly in this 21st century.

A closed mind would think: “I can’t do it”, “That’s impossible”, “I can’t see that working in my country”, “I already know the stuff”, and so on. But on the other hand, an open mind takes in new and fresh ideas that invigorate it to think in these patterns: “That’s achievable”, “I can do it”, “That’s a possible way out”, “Let’s take a shot at it”, etc. Truth is, what you think is your reality; your perception is your actuality.

The rich and the greats first leveraged their minds and consequently, were able to leverage many other things. If you first leverage your mind, you’ll definitely see many other things to leverage including time, earned income, relationships, systems, etc. In the weeks ahead, we are going to explore these other forms of leverage.

Leverage enables you to build wealth faster, using the least efforts. Even if you’re in paid employment, if you have an open mind, you’ll be able to leverage your earned income, and produce passive income. Remember, in passive income, you leverage assets to create an endless stream of additional income without having to work for it.
